Inclusive Design

Put simply, Inclusive Design, is better design

When engaging with the market and clients, one of our many Unique Selling Points (USPs) is the founding principle of ‘Inclusive Design’. This will extend the use of products, or services, beyond a specific target market and meeting the needs of those who would otherwise be excluded from its use. This framework improves the experience of the product or service across a broader range of users. Put simply Inclusive Design is better design2.

Human creativity is the most important resource we have and it is certainly worth cultivating it. The best way to do this is through making design inclusive, to manifest our creative thoughts.

We want to encourage creativity by building a network that encourages collaboration, communicating ideas, providing feedback and sharing resources.

In today’s world, Inclusive Design allows us to reach out to a wider audience. For a designer with fewer restrictions, creativity is able to flourish. Inclusive Design is not a new phenomenon however, it is more important today, than ever before. Nevertheless, we will not restrict ourselves to a single discipline of design; it’s just another approach to help our ideas reach everyone irrespective of age, race, physical ability, social background or culture.

We believe the greatest asset of inclusive design is the ability to dramatically influence the quality of a product, or service and impact the culture of an organisation, or community. Good design does not just sell products, good design fosters collaboration, communicates strategies, sets expectations, improves the efficiency of a team and most importantly, inspires and motivates.

“Close-mindedness and profit motives, aside given the opportunity, design can, should and will change the world.”
